talent showcase: mousekadance

This is the first routine the Mouseketeers learned, and it’s the most popular Talent Showcases of the series. It was featured on Monday (083), Tuesday (047), Wednesday (125), and Thursday (004). It is the quintessential clip of the 70′s show. These were not your parent’s Mouseketeers. You can really get a feel for the era from this song.  Can you find which two Disco Mice are not in this number?

Wonderful World of Disney’s “At Home with Donald Duck”

A clip show originally featuring the 50′s Mouseketeers. This 70′s adaptation includes:

  • the 70′s version of “Mickey Mouse March”, in color, with an added verse
  • Monday’s Mouseketeer roll call
  • “Discovery!”, the original Thursday theme, later changed to “Let’s Discover Discovery Day”
  • “Mousekedance” a Mouseketeer talent number shown repeatedly throughout the series
  • Thursday’s Alma Mater, featuring Pop and interrupted by a cartoon
  • cartoon introduction by Donald Duck.

how to use…

...show tags ::::: (above) pick an episode number from the drop-down list. You'll see everything available from that show. You may also use this list to find favorite characters or features.

...mousekacloud ::::: (below) click on the name of your favorite mouse to see clips where they are featured doing an intro or skit. To see clips with all 12 mice, choose "mice". If a clip features both an intro and all 12, it will be listed under both "mice" and the individual name. This should help you find all your favorite moments.

the disco vlog

I don't know if people even use the term vlog anymore, but they did when I started this one so the word is on the banner forevermore. (That banner took forever to piece together - ha!)

So here it is, a collection of videos related to the 70's Mickey Mouse Club and those forgotten Mouseketeers in the rainbow polyester jumpsuits. I want this to be a place for fans old and new to search by tags and find what they want. I'm your host [clearing throat for proper roll call volume:] Donna! I look forward to walking through these rare clips with you and hearing your memories of the New Mickey Mouse Club.

And now -- on with the show!
