Don’t know if this is the same footage shown in episode 007, but it’s cute enough. It’s from 1958.

1940 cartoon featuring Pluto. These days we see more of Goofy, who’s more like an idiot human than a cute pooch. Nice to see a good old dog cartoon.

Donald Applecore was already 25 years old when it appeared on the NMMC. It’s still funny. But a note to the sensitive: it’s not politically correct. Donald attempts murder by pesticide, then finds a disney-fied Chinese dialect when he digs through to the other side of the earth. But then, I’m sure Donald wouldn’t want to be PC anyway.

Don’t know which portions of Fantasia were actually featured on this episode; it’s listed only as a “film collage”. So I grabbed the only YouTube listing for a Disney Fantasia clip titled “collage”. Other more specific Fantasia clips were used later in the series, and I will post those separately.

When we first see Donald in “Self Control”, he’s singing “In The Shade Of The Old Apple Tree,” and later we hear the song “Laugh and Count to Ten”. This short was also seen in the movie Donald’s Decision, about Donald choosing whether or not to buy war bonds.

“The Old Mill” won the Academy Award in 1939 for “Best Short Subject: Cartoons”. No celebrity characters here, just an owl and some birds and beautiful old-school animation.

This is the first routine the Mouseketeers learned, and it’s the most popular Talent Showcases of the series. It was featured on Monday (083), Tuesday (047), Wednesday (125), and Thursday (004). It is the quintessential clip of the 70’s show. These were not your parent’s Mouseketeers. You can really get a feel for the era from this song. Can you find which two Disco Mice are not in this number?

This song, “Discovery” was the original theme for the Thursday shows, later changed to “Let’s Discover Discovery Day”. It stayed in the show as a Talent Showcase. Although it’s originally a Thursday number, it actually aired on episode 011, a Monday. Scott gives the introduction wearing his Thursday sweater.

Here’s the opening for all Monday shows, including “Mickey Mouse March” and Monday’s theme, “Who, What, Why, Where, When, and How Day “.

You want your DVD, but this will have to do (for now). The home page will be for show clips. Episode numbers are taken from Joel’s list. Click on a show number to view all clips from that episode.
In the mousekecloud, click on names to see clips of your favorite. Clips tagged “mice” include all twelve Mouseketeers; clips with names may include many mice, but you will find one or two missing, as in “Mousekedance”.
The other pages feature off-show clips of the Mice, as fans locate them online. Your comments and contributions are invaluable. C’ya real soon.
